Through COINS Challenge events in 2008 and 2009, the Construction and Service Industry has already raised nearly $100,000 to support The COINS Foundation's mission of building infrastructure for successful communities. The Industry's efforts have already made a difference providing housing, education and health care for the disadvantaged.

Because The COINS Foundation receives sponsorship for all of its costs, 100% of the money raised by the 3 Peaks Challenge goes to The COINS Foundation project partners.
 

Rebuilding Haiti

The COINS Foundation has committed to build 50 homes in Haiti with monies raised by the Construction Industry primarily through the COINS 3 Peaks Challenge.

In parallel to the emergency relief response, The COINS Foundation in partnership with Habitat for Humanity will support the longer-term, marathon reconstruction effort that will be required to rebuild and transform Haiti, the sustainable development required when world’s attention is no longer focused on Haiti.

Habitat for Humanity is a shelter, housing and construction specialist who focuses on the essential reconstruction that must follow the emergency aid, which is currently flooding into Haiti. Habitat for Humanity has operated in Haiti for 26 years and has a significant infrastructure and expertise in country to respond and assist with the recovery and reconstruction process.

This year, 25% of the funds raised by COINS 3 Peaks Challenge will be committed to building further homes in Haiti.
